What is the role of cast to JSON in Vflow

In vFlow, When we configure API in task-group, there is a option of Cast to JSON. What is use of that option.

Cast to JSON in API task is used to convert a string to object. By default in vFlow, whatever request is sent it is in string format. To send a JSON in a request, select the Cast to JSON checkbox.
