Designer 2.0 Deploy(Sync) Enhancements
Problem Statement
Currently, the sync process consists of two steps:
- Processing components from Designer and related modules.
- Sending the processed components to VRT.
Even if there is a mismatch in records coming from the Designer, the sync is incorrectly marked as successful. This leads to inconsistencies in processed data and makes it difficult for users to identify issues.
Enhancements & Fixes
- Deploy Failure on Mismatch – The sync process will now fail if there is a record mismatch, ensuring accuracy.
- Detailed Deploy History – Users will receive insights into record gaps, improving visibility into errors.
- Reattempting Deploy – Users must save & commit the affected components from the Designer again and retrigger the sync.
- Parallel Deploy Blocked - Now users would not be able to perform parallel sync in Designer for the same app and same environment .
Steps to Resolve Mismatch Error:
- Open the affected component and make any change.
- Save and commit the component.
- Deploy the changes again.
