Multiple Applications on single VRT

I currently have an application in production, and we’ve recently received a requirement of new project by the same client. This new project originates from a different business unit within the client’s organization, meaning that the business owners for each application are different.

To my understanding, the existing VRT has the capability to accommodate multiple applications. So what should be the decision parameters to decide whether we should setup a new VRT or utilize the existing one for the new application.

Yes, you can have multiple applications on same VRT.

Deciding factors could be individual org preference. Here is how I would decide.

I would try to keep non prod environment apps on same VRT for same organisation unit or even for whole organisation.

For production environment, I would only host related applications on same VRT.

But again, it will depend upon the size of VRT, application itself and business unit involved.
