Configuration of Event Manager involves below three steps:

  1. Configuration of Event
  2. Raising or enabling an event by binding it through an API or a Service through vConnect
  3. Analyze the data captured through events which is available in a dashboard through the
    Event Analytics tab on the VRT portal.

Configuration of Event:

 * Click on the application and search Event Manager resource and click on it

 * Click on Add Event to configure a new event

 * Enter the following details for the event:
          **Name**: Name of the event
          **Description**: A short description of the event
          **Purge days**: Number of days after which the data will be cleared
          **Archival Days**: Number of days after which the data will be archived
          **Consumer Type**: Type of event whether it is a vConnect Service, Callback URL or Analytics
          **Event Stage**: The stage at which data for the event will be captured
          **Status**: Enable the status to trigger the event
          Click on **Add Event** to add event with the configured details.
          A list of all the custom events will be visible on the screen.

Raising or enabling an event by binding it through an API or a Service through vConnect:

 a. Click on the application and select vConnect
 b. Select API management tab and Click on Edit action of an API to raise an event with an

API.
c. Under the End Point Details tab, select yes from the dropdown for do you want to raise
and event.
d. Under the Event Details tab for an API, configure the event that you want to raise for an
API by specifying the following details:
Event Name: The event that you want to raise with an API
Event Data: The data that you want to capture when an event is triggered
a. API Request
b. API Response
c. Both Request and Response
Execution Time: Specifies when the event should be triggered
a. Just after API execution
b. At specific time: Absolute or at a particular time
c. After Specific time: Relative or after some time is elapsed
Primary key and its source of Value

Analyze the data captured through events which is available in a dashboard
through the Event Analytics tab on the VRT portal:

  * Select the application and search for VRT portal. Click on VRT portal.
  * Select "Event Analytics"
  * A Dashboard will be shown with a list of items/options to choose
